A Return and Another Query
I've just gotten home from Thanksgiving at my friends'. :-) It was fun. Very different from what I'm used to, but different in a fun way. Lots of people. (I'm used to really spending the holiday with just my immediate family), fair amount of kids, and so on. I had a good time. <3
Don't really have a blog post though. Maybe in the vein of the post of a few days ago.
If you could go on a date with any superhero...just a date, mind, no strings attached and no promises to put out or anything like that, who would you pick?
I think personally, I'd pick Booster Gold. He's not my type at ALL, but he's not above exploiting time technology to have fun and he's not as sleazy as Hal. He's got a good sense of humor too.
What about you?

Ted Kord, Jaime Reyes, Jason ... um I forget Firestorm's last name, or Kyle Rayner, if we're talking about guys.

Scandal Savage, Scarlet Witch, Huntress. If I had to pick a guy, well....Ben Grimm and Jim Rhodes.
Steer clear of Kyle Rayner, you know what happens if you date him, even just once.

Barbara Gordon, no question. She's my girl.

I am such a dork: Do we get a choice of alter ego, or just the superhero persona?

alter ego's okay too. :-)

Barbara Gordon, if not her Giganta (no not for the reason your thinking), and if not her Squirrel Girl

Wow, what a surprisingly tough question.
As much fun as it would be to on a date with someone who flies, time-travels or teleports, my pick would have to be Jennifer Walters. If we went out in her Jen form, we could just have a nice, quiet date and get to talk about her crazy life story. And if she showed up as She-Hulk, I'm pretty sure crazy shenanigans involving wild parties, flying vehicles and the beating up of goofy supervillains would ensue. Or, knowing how comics work, the first would probably lead into the second - which'd be pretty dang awesome. :) Either way, I'm sure it'd be a fun, memorable evening.
Second choice'd probably be Harley Quinn, just because I'm a sucker for crazy girls and it would definitely be a night to remember, assuming I made it out alive. :P

Ultimate Tony Stark. Because I bet I could convince him that flying into orbit and messing with everyone's cable channels would be AWESOME. You know, because he's drunk. I'd bet he'd let me shoot an asteroid with a photonic cannon doohickey as well. Yeah. Asteroids using real asteroids. WOOT!

Ahh the choices! I'd go with Superman, Rose Wilson, Eddie Bloomberg, Dinah Lance or Zinda.
Sorry, can't choose just one!
A date with Dinah, Rose or Zinda would mean one batshit insane night, although probably in 3 very different ways. They each know how to have fun and there would be some very interesting drink fuelled adventures. Think of the stories you'd come out with!
Eddie just seems like he'd be real good fun to hang out with, it'd be a more down to earth ordinary night with him than with the 3 already listed.
Superman, well he's Superman. How could you say no?

Well,Ted Kord, if he was alive, he has SUCH a sense of humor. John Stewart, because he's probably good at picking out a nice wine. As much as I love Guy, I don't really WANT to go to a cockfight or porn theatre.

Hmmm...I can't think of anyone I'd actually want to date-date, as all my favorite female supers are currently paired up with someone and I'd hate to muscle in on a happy relationship, even temporarily. OTOH, a guys' night out with Ambush Bug might be amusing. Karaoke on Apokolips, anyone?
Going drinking with Hitman could have some potential, too.

Do I get negative points for saying Power Girl?
I mean, she's run a computer company, so she ought to be a tech-geek's dream.
But man. It's Power Girl.

Captain America, most likely as Steve Rogers. First because I'm shallow, second because he's polite, and third because I might be able to get him to tell stories about what he's been through, and I love stories like that. Even from real people.

Roy Harper. Or Grace Choi. Or both simultaneously, really. I like redheads, all right?
Speaking of which, back in high school, I would probably have had the worst crush on Misfit. So maybe the alt-future Huntress!Charlie?
Oh, and I bet Selina Kyle could show you a really classy night on the town. You'd finish the evening running from the cops, but probably wouldn't be caring that much at that point.

Only one?
Hmm...Diane Belmont would be my first choice.
From Marvel, I'd have to go with Black Mamba or maybe Princess Python. I imagine the date would end with Captain America crashing it though.

Wonder Woman, definitely. Who would be more interesting to meet than Wonder Woman?
