Are you familar with the 'crazy nancy' strips? Kate Beaton does a pretty neat version of Nancy.

they get even more comicy later xD including Bess fixing a prototype magnetic tank, a female villain who can lift Nancy's car (I call her Bane >_> ) and a villain who thinks he's the reincarnation of Edgar Allan Poe who puts her in a death trap w/ a swinging blade xD the series IS rly awesome tho :D uppercutting bears is just the start!
