Jurassic Park comic.

Apparently there's going to be a new Jurassic Park comic.

I'm kind of torn. One one hand: dinosaurs are always good. On the other hand, it's not likely anyone will punch them.

Also, while I liked the first movie (except I hear the song in my sleep after years of our band having to play it at pep rallies) I never saw any the sequels.

Actually I'm not sure I liked the first movie so much as I liked the part where the dinosaur ate the guy off the toilet.

Still. Dinosaurs ARE cool. I might check it out. I just hope Jeff Goldblum's character doesn't star in it. He annoyed me.

Well, I can say this about the second Jurassic Park movie: you're gonna wish Dr. Sarah Holding was killed off by a dinosaur. That is one stupid, hypocritical scientist. And you'll find out that a T-Rex can fit through small doors without damaging them. And never leaving the cargo bay of a ship!

That sounds very strange. But physics defying dinosaurs ARE intriguing. :-)

But WHY would they remake this movie? It isn't all that old, and the special effects were pretty decent. I don't really see the point.

I don't think they're remaking the movie (hope not anyway), but just releasing a new comic. Unless you know something I don't. :-)

It's a 13 years later sequel comic focusing on Hammond's grandkids and efforts to reopen the island.

Since one of IDW's top guys was at Topps when the original comics were published, they'll be publishing the old Topps comics too. Some fairly well known names worked on the comics: Michael Golden, Walt Simonson, Gil Kane, George Perez, Steve Englehart, Neil Vokes.

Oops. I thought you meant they were remaking the movie. That'll teach me to actually break down and READ what you wrote, instead of just jumping to conclusions.

    Sorry about that.
