Black and Silver?

Well, FINALLY. How many seasons has it been?

Seems bizarre that after all the "red-blue blur" crap, they'd go with black and silver though. It's not that it really looks any less stupid than the real thing.

How would the disguise work anyway, since he doesn't wear glasses?

...I know it's bad form to question/mock a series I've watched all of four episodes for, but sometimes it's really hard to resist, you know?

Mock away. The fact that he met Green Arrow, Doomsday, and Cyborg before he met the Legion, and the fact that he hasn't even met Mon-El yet, shows how much respect they have for the Superman mythos.

I only mock out of love.

Except in the case of this show. :-P

That's okay, I like some horrible things too. ;-)

Oh some of it is good! I admit a lot of it is trash..but it turns out I love trash. hell, I want to read the Twilight trilogy. Now that will be worth mocking!

I know! He'll be wearing glasses WITH the new suit! And then he'll be able to say to the villains that they wouldn't hit a guy with glasses...would they?

I watched the first few seasons and then watched the Zatanna episode a while back out of curiosity. Michael "DCAU voice of the Flash" Rosenbaum's Lex Luthor aside, I have to say that I cannot fault your mocking urge. ;)

I was very amused that a show called Smallville now featured Green Arrow and was set in Metropolis. Makes me wonder if they'll do a Young Batman show featuring Wonder Woman set in Bludhaven or something.

Smallville is one of my guilty pleasures. I suffered through every episode of every season, even though the slow, lame, emo depths, and I have to say that this last season really started to pull together. I'm finally looking forward to the next season, rather than just covering my eyes and saying, "oh, crap, what next?"

    Your Obedient Serpent Predicts:
The black-and-silver suit is going to be what Clark wears in his "Embrace the Kryptonian" phase. When he finally gets out of that rut and gets "pulled back to humanity", he'll don the red & blue costume (quite possibly in the season finale).

    Prediction Two:
Both the black-and-silver and the red-and-blue will be Smallville-ized versions of the costume, looking more like modern athletic wear than a turn-of-the-last-century circus strongman.

    Prediction Two-Point-Five:
The degree to which the red-and-blue costume will approximate the classic comic book version will increase as the season progresses. If he doesn't appear in the red-and-blue until the finale, then it may appear almost identical to the Real Deal.

    Prediction Three:
The closer the costume gets to the iconic Superman costume, the higher the chance that the season finale will also be the series finale.
