Moments of Awesomeness

Sadly, I had to opt out of my chance to see Star Trek because of finals. This is sad and upsetting, but sometimes that happens. I'll get the chance to see it eventually.

I'm cheering myself up by celebrating a moment of awesome from an old X-Men comic. (Specifically, Uncanny X-Men 59)

This shows why you should never try to out-logic Cyclops. Even if he is dressed, for some bizarre reason, as Quicksilver at the time.

Using your brother's waangst to convince the Sentinels to attack the sun. I love you, Scott. Even if you totally do not have the coloring to pull off that outfit.

Also, you have no ass.

But you still don't look as stupid as Havok, and that's always a plus.

This really was a pretty spectacular moment, really.

In retrospect, it's a good damn thing the Sentinels' tech wasn't up to the job, eh? Be kind of chilly with the sun extinguished, wouldn't it?

Wait, my authorization word is "richpun?" That's just...synchronous.

Really, can anyone look at stupid as Havok?

But Havok has the best superhero costume ever!

    ...well, I like it anyway.

Why is Scott dressed as Quicksilver?

Short answer: To fuck with our heads and look stupid in the process.

Long answer: It has something to do with tricking the Sentinels into expecting/adapting for a different mutation. Beast is dressed like Toad and Jean like Wanda in this issue as well.

Beast looks okay, but God never intended redheads to wear that much pink.

"To where leads the siren call of logic!" What a pedantic robot.
