Curse My Weak Will:
Yeah, yeah.
I'm a tagalong.
It's all her fault.
Shut up.
Stupid writing ambition.
This is going to kill me.
Seriously.
Dead.
One dead Kalinara.
I hate you all.
Okay. I probably don't.
But yeah. Dead.
Dead, dead, dead.
Doorknob dead.
How do I get myself into these things?

Yay! Now I know someone lese that's doing this! I am adding you to my writing buddy list right now.
Good luck to you. I have the writing bug as well. I just hope it meshes with Senior Design and graduate structural courses.

Oh, you'll be just fine. Don't let Ragnell keep you up too late, and take plenty of vitamin C. And write, Kalinara! Write like the wind!

I signed up for the first time this year, too. Between my odd work schedule and toddler wrangling at home, I'll be happy to hit the 25,000 word mark, but I'm definitely gonna give it my best shot.

I think you're doing yourself a bit of a diservice here Kalinara.
I hope you don't mind, but I did a couple of quick calculations based on the amount you've written on PFP this month. You produced an average of 332.26 words a day.
While this may seem a little low compared to what you'd need to do to complete the 50,000 word total in time, my experiences with my own blog/livejournal indecates that I spend far more time editing what I've written rather than writing it. You're entries are alot better thought out than mine, so I'm certain that if you just go with the narative flow, as it were, you'll be totaly fine.
:)

Don't worry, Kalinara, I hear sleep is overrated...:p
Seriously, I wish you and Ragnell all the best...think of it as a friendly competition...as a way to support each other and, if necessary, push each other to keep writing...
Maybe make some sort of side bet: if she writes more, you have to dress in the colours of your college rival(the Wolverines?) or something...if you write more, she has to do something equally silly or mildly embarassing...dress up like a giant chicken or something...and, whoever loses the bet, has to post this 'silly' picture on their blog!

Post the text in the blog, that way you don't have to make blog posts :D

ragnell: If I die, I'm haunting you.
jaap: Hee. Not quite dumb enough for that one.
diamondrock: :-) I'm making you proofread.
david: Ooo. What's your username so I can add you? (if you don't want to say publically email me at r_nyalveis@hotmail.com)
racy: That's reassuring. And you WILL tell when Ninja comes out, right?
That link scares me.
sallyp: I keep her up late more often. :-) But I'll remember the vitamin C!
cullen and rob and anonymous: Thanks!
bill: Send your username! I will buddy you! (see email addy above)
doc: My blog entries are entirely stream of consciousness. :-)
But thanks for the encouragement!
chuck: I'll keep that in mind. :-)
You just want to see embarrassing pictures!
zaratustra: Hee. Probably not. I might link it when I'm done though.

Good luck! There are a handful of us who are taking the opportunity of NaNoWriMo to write the script for a graphic novel--a NaGraNoWriMo!
