200th Post Silliness

This is my 200th post since I started this blog on December 11th! That's pretty good, I think. Anyway to celebrate, I'm posting another "Why I love Guy Gardner" Panel.

From JLI 21.



If you can't read it, it goes:

Hawkman: "Will you please watch your language?"
Guy: "Aw, shut the hell up!"
Hawkman: "That does it! I quit!"
Hawkwoman: "You can't quit, darling. We don't even know where we are!"

Guy Gardner can get rid of Hawkman. Hee.

    Of course, the Hawkman that "quits" in that scene is Fel Andar, a Thanagarian spy.

    Heh, I spent a few issues trying to figure out which Hawkman that was. Was pretty sure it wasn't Carter, but I'm not good with Hawk-continuity, so I didn't know for sure if it was Fel Andar or Katar Hol, as I'm not really experienced with either.

    I like to hate on Carter though, so this was close enough. :-P

    Thanagarian spy huh? That makes a little more sense. I was trying to figure how cosumate jerk and head smasher Hawkman could get offended by some foul language.

    Here's how messed up Hawkman is. When that issue of JLI was originally published, he was Katar Hol.

    After the Hawkworld revamp, though, Fel Andar was the Hawkman who served in the JLI.

    Mind you, this retcon occurred about a year or two after the original story ran.

    So, you might as well pretend its Carter Hall. At this point, even Hawkman probably doesn't know who he is exactly.
