Like in the story reprinted in Adventure 495, (our intrepid heroes have been defeated by carnival people, and have to find them again)...

See, Wesley Dodds gets to further his reputation as a skilled detective and poor Sandy's still considered the tagalong. That's so unfair! :-)

Yep! Do the work, never get the credit. And fly around in dorky costumes...
Though to be fair, Wes looks a lot dumber in yellow and purple spandex than his sidekick does. :-)

I think that Dodds and Sandy are just biased against boys who hit puberty early and carry around stogies for their father (the old guy in that last panel).
It's profiling, that's what it is.
