Oooo!
Okay, I don't know whether this would work or not, but I would totally read Geoff Johns writing a He-Man comic.
The potential for awesome is just...well, awesome!
As long as they keep the main character's tendency toward gratuitous bondage I'm there!

Oh...my...God. But who would they get to draw it?

Ed McGuinness would be my ideal choice for artist...he's done some He-Man art in the past that was pretty impressive.
There's also Emiliano Santalucia, who drew the last Masters of the Universe series, and did a pretty good job of it. Too bad the writing wasn't as good as the art.

I kinda fear he'd either drown the thing in gore, take it too seriously, or both.

As one of the greatest character-rehab merchants out there, it'd be interesting to see if he could make Teela seem competent.
I mean, its not like Prince Adam even wears glasses.

I'm strictly going by the cartoon, but in that case, He-Man, while otherwise pretty identical to Adam, had a very different skin tone. Kind of like Mediterranean vs. Germanic. His hair color was different too.
It's a lot harder to go from chalk white to a deep tan and vice versa in a number of minutes than it is to put on/remove glasses. :-)
