A thought
Is it wrong that a part of me totally wants Rachel Grey (or Summers, whatever she's calling herself these days) and Wolverine's annoying son to get together?
I mean, I know he's annoying and evil, and bizarre electra tendencies aside, Rachel's not that bad and deserves better. But it would make me laugh. Mostly for Scott and Logan as in-laws.
Failing that, maybe they can age up the speedster one of Wanda's twins. The one that digs girls.
I totally 'ship characters based on how much more convoluted it will make their family tree. I'm like that.

The speedster would be Speed. And I almost agreed with your whole Daken/Phoenix 2 hook-up. Because then Daken would be banished into space. Except most of the stuff I actually LIKE from Marvel is in space right now. So I'd prefer to keep Daken far, far away from that...
Now if you wanted to make Scott and Logan in-laws by hooking up Daken and Cable, I'd be able to get behind that...

Oooh oooh oooh... I've got one.
Now he's back from the dead (or whatever it was) and on the way to sanity, getting Rachel together with Xavier's son Legion.
Given how entertaining Cyclops and Xavier are when they argue, just imagine them as in-laws.

One of the things I really liked about the Age of Apocalypse were the ramifications of the pairing of Rogue and Magneto:
Mystique became Magneto's mother-in-law,
Nightcrawler his brother-in-law,
Wanda and Pietro got a stepmother ferociously younger than themselves and an even younger baby brother.

Doesn't everyone who deals with the X-Men pair them just to see if you can finally make someone their own father?
TJ and Cable would be fun - Mystique, Magneto, and Cyclops would all be related.

I don't suppose we can figure out a way to make Mystique Cyclop's mother? Then he'd be brothers with Kurt, stepbrother to Rogue, halfbrother to Graydon Creed, and God knows what else.

yeah that would be awesome their son would be the phoenix but with the attitude of wolverine. Wolverine in the phoenix's green and gold costume. Or else wolverine in Rachel's original red costume with spikes.

Don't forget Rachel was destined to get it on with Franklin Richards in the early days, his dying spirit even travelled through time to be with her and in an alternate universe they had a child.
