Anyway, as is customary, you have one more day to toss me questions in the meme. There are some really good ones so far. I hope my answers will be worthy. :-)
I'm contemplating seeing Terminator: Salvation with my folks this weekend. I've heard it's bad, so I'm soliciting impressions. How bad are we talking about? Is it bad in a good way?
I know cute little Chekov is in it. And I've always been interested in the set up for John Connor saving some kid, brainwashing him into crushing on his mom and sending him back in time to knock her up and die.
So is it worth watching?

It was bad, and not really in a good way. Not bad enough for me to walk out of the theater, but pretty bad. And little Chekov didn't get to do much.

The main bad guy is a freaking moron. I can't stand movies like that. A reviewer friend said the video game makes a better movie. Save your 8 bucks, rent T2 again instead...

I was bored for most of it. It has some decent action, but not much funny in either the intentional or unintentional departments.

I enjoyed it, but as kind of a "what-if" scenario vis-a-vis Sarah Conner Chronicles. SCC has, it seems, wholly supplanted the movies as My Personal Terminator Canon.
That said, now that the comparison is raised -- no, it's not as good as SCC.
