Recommendation Help?
Just finished huge assignment and I need a pick-me-up. Well, also a nap. But I can do THAT one on my own.
So anyway, since I'm feeling a little robotic right now, and I'm realizing a dearth of appropriate material. I'm looking for recommendations for anything with robots (preferably androids, I like my robots humanoid and my humans robotic, :-)) or cyborgs.
Help me out?

I'm not too enthralled with Ms. Marvel, but Aaron Stack aka Machine Man, is fantastic! Plus,he's built, and he seems to enjoy interacting with "fleshy ones".

Battle Angel Alita, Appleseed, or Ghost in the Shell.
All three manga series are good (though the Last Order alternate continuation of Battle Angel is a bit hit and miss) and they all have anime adaptations if you're in the moo to watch rather than read.

I've never read it, but going just by the title alone I'd say Magnus: Robot Fighter is right up your alley.
There's also Osamu Tezuka's version of Fritz Lang's Metropolis, both comic and film versions.

Issac Asimov"s The Caves of Steel, The Naked Sun, Robots of Dawn, Robots and Empire. This is the series which inspired Data as well as his Creator on Star Trek: TNG.
Speaking of TNG "Datalore"& "Measure of A Man" are outstanding for this
aLSO Teminator 2&3 and Johny 5
As for Cyborgs or Bionics; how about Robocop, Edward Scissor-Hands and Army of Darkness "THIS IS MY BOOM STICK!:)

The craptacular 1989 Pete Townshend concept album The Iron Man. No, seriously. It's mesmerizing.

Comic: Kerry Callen's Halo and Sprocket. It's fun (and at times adorable). Just the sort of light-hearted reading you need after a huge assignment.
(And if you're looking for a novel, I second the recommendation of The Cyberiad)
