Pretty, Fizzy Paradise

I'm back! And reading! And maybe even blogging! No promises!

Okay, so Newsarama's not workin' for me right now so I can't check the link myself, but Brainfreeze has some NICE news over here.

Kyle's gonna be in GLC! Kyle and Guy get to be partners again! Yay! it bad that in my head they've just become the in space equivalent of Homicide's Bayliss and Pembleton? That is if Kyle were like nine feet tall, and Pembleton were an uncouth white redhaired psycho. I bet their interrogations would be interesting.

Yay! All Earth GLs officially accounted for!

Eat it, pessimists! :-)

You know, everytime I see a reference to The Best Damn Show (formerly) On Television, my heart lightens just a little bit.

I'd love to see those two in the Box too.

Oh, Kyle's safe, and Guy is safe, and all my favorites, such as Kilowog and Arisia are safe!

Putting Kyle and Guy together is just genius, they react so well to each other, and the end result is usually comedy GOLD!

This is like the best news. If I could buy only one comic a month but Green Lantern Corps would be it (although I'd be sad about losing JLA and JSA).

This lineup is just damn solid. There's no character here where I'm like "aww I would've preferred x".

I'm sorry that Gibbons isn't staying, but THANK GOD Gleason is! He is quality. :D

I dunno. Kyle is clearly the Bayliss in that relationship.

Maybe Guy doesn't fit into the Pembleton role (Kellerman? Falsone?), but Kyle is totally the earnest rookie coming into his own under the hands-off guidance of the experienced vet.

derek: Kyle and Bayliss are the obvious comparison. :-P Hence the nine feet tall comment. (Bayliss's actor Kyle Secor is about six-four and thus very very tall)

Guy doesn't have much in common with Pembleton on the surface, but I can kind of see a correlation. Especially with regards to Kyle/Bayliss. We'll have to see how Tomasi writes them to see if it holds up. :-)

...actually, if Guy's anyone, he's probably Bolander. :-P Cranky and devoted to tormenting his poor younger partner.
