Recommend me something?
Okay, so I've finished reading a series for the third time in a row, so I think I probably ought to branch out again. So, recommend me something?
I prefer science-fiction or fantasy, all things considered. I like strong female characters and men who get injured a lot. (It's my misandry.)
Any recommendations are welcome. :-)

Have you read the Mordant's Need series by Stephen R. Donaldson?
- it's really good
- it's got a very elegant system of magic
- the heroine starts of kind of annoyingly passive but she gets over it
- the good guys are very good
I also thought of the Empire trilogy by Raymond E Feist and Janny Wurts, but there's a rather higher chance that you've read that.
Mmm... the Acacia trilogy, David Anthony Durham? The Milkweed Triptych, Ian Tregillis? The Dagger and the Coin, Daniel Abraham (not yet complete)? Kushiel's Legacy, Jacqueline Carey? Kingdoms of Thorn and Bone, Greg Keyes?

Read some of them, not the rest. I do remember liking Mordant's Need, but it's been years. Likewise Empire.
I never could get into the Kushiel series. Have enjoyed what bits of Abraham I've read.
I'll have to check out some of the others. Thank you! :-)

Mordant's Need was the one with the mirrors, right? Or am I thinking of the wrong book?
