Something else I've noticed from 1960s Batman:
Reassuringly, Batman still appears to be a terrible father, even in the 60s show.
Okay, first there are the constant lies to Dick's sole adult relative (Lesson for kids: "If a grown man wants you to lie about your location to your relatives, totally go with it because he's probably a superhero!")
But I think the best bit, so far, was in an episode where the Joker was messing with "Woodrow Roosevelt High School" (love the name. :-P) Batman's called in and speaks to the school administrator and decides he wants to speak to students and asks "Who's the student council president?"
The answer of course: "Richard Grayson".
Now, it could just be Batman playing dumb (it'd be smart to, but when does the series do the smart thing) but just for a second, Bruce looks legitimately surprised.
How do you not know your kid is student council president?
Batman is still a bad father. Oddly, my faith in the world is restored.

Wait...Dick actually has time to go to school? Does the bus pick him up outside of Stately Wayne Manor, or does Alfred drive him in?
I guess he only gets to fight crime after 3:00 and on weekends.
