Pretty, Fizzy Paradise

I'm back! And reading! And maybe even blogging! No promises!

For the record and I just want it said: I HATE cite-checking.

That does bring to mind something though:

Anyone who reads this blog is probably well aware that I don't mind the occasional curse word or seven. And I tend to think censorship of an already fairly adult oriented comic like All-Star Batman and Robin is silly anyway.

But Miller, while I understand the desire to make sure the black boxes are the right length, couldn't you have gone the old fashioned route and used symbols? You know, like the rest of us?

Just checking.

You just want to censor his art! His art of "false censoring"...

This whole print the word before printing the bar method makes no sense to me. I honestly can't tell what some the words being used are and I probably think up dirtier substitutions than what Frank had in mind. Wait, I take that back. I can never think up anything as dirty as what Frank has in mind.

It really should be a Mature Readers book imo but they'll never do that with their precious Batman. As long as they have the bars there's still a semblance of "all ages" in there.

I DO wish that Mr. Miller would stop acting like a two-year old.

But, if he used symbols it wouldn't be EXTREME.

Ultimate Batman, now with more explosions, blood, and cursing Batgirl.

He should forget the "false censoring" and just use little drops of his own blood instead of swearing. That would rly fit his extreme Goddamn Batman theme too :D
