A Fashion Fueled Interlude
Heh, since everyone's complaining about Ion's costume (I like it, myself, but then I also liked the crab mask and the dog collar, so my taste is questionable).
Besides, artist or not, Kyle's made some pretty bad fashion choices in the past. He's no Ted Kord with neon orange socks color coordinated to his blazer, or Dick Grayson and his multi-colored polka dots, big collar and mullet...but still...
See this outfit from Green Lantern 89. There's a better look at it here.
Oh, honestly, Kyle sweetie, wearing brown and black together? That's like wearing white after Labor Day. *disappointed sigh*

Yeah, but he makes it work.
The only crime in that outfit is that the blazer is covering his butt.

At least he's wearing a blazer. i don't think I even own one anymore.
You know, for a "starving artist," Kyle never seemed to actually be wanting for anything...

ragnell: Indeed.
Mallet: :-)
scott: Well, he's never really *been* a starving artist. That's the interesting thing. When his GL run was starting he was doing art for greeting cards, or something like that. He was doing fine art on the side, and presumably did well enough that the greeting card stuff was phased out and he could instead have gallery showings. And then there was the comic strip.
Really, if you think about it, his career path is entirely sensible. Something steady to pay bills, until you've got enough saved/know for a certain that you can make a concrete career.
Which makes sense, considering that he and his mother really were struggling growing up, and she had to take on multiple jobs, things like that. When you grow up like that, presumably, you're bound to be more sensible about steady, if tedious, work.

White after Labor Day is bad? I've always worn it afterwards, but then I cycle through maybe 12 shirts, two are white. I've never been too keen on fashion anyway...

No, it's white SHOES after Labor
day that is a fashion no no. And
not before Memorial day. Of course
I wear hats and gloves whenever
I go outside.

I saw a little add on tv about this, but this fashion has been set in japan and seems like it's gonna be a success in that country.
