...I would watch it.
You know, I'm sure it'll be as awful as the first one but I would totally watch a second Ghost Rider movie.
I think it's because, as awful as the first one was, there was a strange sort of joy about it. Sometimes you can tell when a creator really really loves the product, and you can really tell here if only because where Iron Man and Batman are fairly obvious money-makers, I don't think anyone really looks at Ghost Rider and thinks "Oh, this will sell tickets."
Though I hope Eva Mendes comes back. And of course, Sam Elliot. They were the best parts. But even without that, I'll probably still watch.

I would watch a Ghost Rider movie if it was JUST Sam Elliot. In the Old West. On a flaming motorcycle. Like if "Time Riders" was about a spirit of vengeance. Who was Sam Elliot. And he has a moustache made of fire...

Ha!
The first GR movie was...pretty plotless. And actionless as well! Since the Ghost Rider's such a "powerful" being in the Marvel comics and they decided to make a movie without any real foe in it (no vengeance, no scarecrow...) the GR was just killing those guys Blackheart had in one shot-sequences.. without any real action scenes...
The movie is kinda stupid, but I'll watch it anyday again!
I guess watching a "live" version of good ol' flamehead is entertaining in itself :P

With Mark Steven Johnson-- both for Daredevil and Ghost Rider-- I got the sense of an underskilled director who did actually love the property, but wasn't capable of delivering a product that matched his love.

But...but I LIKED the first Ghostrider movie! Yeah, it was a little on the ridiculous side, but isn't a movie about a stuntrider with a flaming skeletal head SUPPOSED to be a tad ridiculous?
But Lurker's right...it has to have Sam Elliot in it.

Geez, SallyP just expressed everything I was going to say.
I loved the first one. It was everything I could want from a movie about a guy with a flaming skull riding a motorcycle!
... except a sequel. I want a sequel. And it looks like I may get one!

I did like his Daredevil, I mean the director's cut edition. It seems to at least have more coherence and a plot (the theatrical cut is just action scene after action scene, mindless pop corn flick).
But even with all the court scenes and more dialogue it did stay a pretty silly movie anyway!
Ghost Rider was a lot more fun~
Like Marshall Ryan Maresca said, the guy seems to love those characters but doesn't seem be a good director.
Maybe that second GR movie could aim and land a bit better!

Sam Elliot is a must. The scene where he's riding his horse alongside the motorcycle to the tune of the Outlaws' "Ghost Riders In The Sky" (one of my all-time favorite songs) was the best scene in the movie.
Never mind Nicholas Cage. Just put Elliot in the film.
