Looks like fun!
I have to admit, I'd like X-Men vs. Vampires if only for the tantrum the ad provoked in Mark Millar. (I'd be more sympathetic, but I hate his work. :-P And since it seems to have turned out okay, I don't have to feel guilty about poking fun.)
It seems like cheesy fun though. X-Men. Vampires. I'm sure there'll be stabbing, blasting, and bad puns galore.
I can dig it!

It's not like the X-men haven't fought vampires before - Dracula wanted Storm as his bride after all.
I'm really, really not getting why the Internets are worked up with this like it's some brand-new original weird-ass thing - it's been done before and it's not THAT original. If a few X-men get turned "permanently" into vampires it'll be a different twist, but seriously not that weird.
Hell we're talking superhero comics here - genre-mash is the name of the game. I want to see my vampire ninjas on flying motorcycles fighting mutant pirates riding zombie cyborg dinosaurs, and I want it NOW damn it.

I don't think anyone's trying to argue that it's an original idea, Jer. Sometimes stories are just fun.

But...but will they sparkle?

Emma Frost will sparkle enough for all of them, I'd reckon.

Can we get a link to where Millar threw his tizzy?

A quick search for "Mark Millar" on robot 6 doesn't take very long and turns up:
Millar's fit and the resolution.
