The Comics Couple I'd Most Want To See...

It occurs to me, that there IS a couple in comics that I would really like to see:

Hal Jordan and Zinda Blake.

They're both attractive, charming, pilot daredevil types. I mean, they'd naturally not work as a long term romantic couple (Waaaay too alike, I'd bet. Also, at heart I'm a Hal/Carol fangirl), but boy oh boy would that make one fantastically fun fling.

What about you guys? Any couple you'd like to see?

Vixen and Animal Man (I know, I know...I'm committing heresy by removing Buddy from Ellen)

Hal and Zinda eh? She's blonde, feisty, a hotshot pilot, and has a Southern accent.

Then there is Jillian aka Cowgirl, who is blonde, feisty, a hotshot pilot and has a Texas accent. They also both like to drink beer.

While I can see the appeal of Zinda for Hal, I'm not sure that she'd be that intrigued by HIM. I still would love to see her and Wildcat get together. But it is still a fun idea.

Zinda is, for all of her piloting and tactical skill, kind of an ignorant dumbass. She and Kyle would go well together. Considering her time-warped age, he'd be a good mommy figure for him.

Sally: Well, like I said, it wouldn't be long term. :-P I figure he'd be a passing fling. He IS pretty after all. :-)

Zinda kicks major kinds of ass and is only ignorant of modern times, thank you very much. Frankly, I could only see her with somebody who likes hitting people a lot, so I second Sallyp. Wildcat & Zinda would be relationship I'd love to see.

He's much nearer to her generation than all the other men listed and still has what it takes to make Catwoman happy. Zinda did call him a "manly man" or something when she saw him in Birds of Prey, so my fingers are still crossed.

Actually, Zinda is pretty darn *not* "ignorant of modern times." She apparently absorbed 60 years of advances in aviation and electronics technology without breaking a sweat. (I imagine the Blackhawks always being at the bleeding edge of whatever was out there at the time helped, but still....) I'd love to get more backstory for her.

It couldn't happen for obvious reasons, but I think she and Captain America would make a great couple....

I always thought Marc Andreyko missed the boat by not hooking up Kate (Manhunter) Spencer and Pieter (Dr Mid-Nite) Cross back when she was investigating her family tree with his help.

The Brain should have a drunken fling with Gorilla Grodd. Then whenever they meet at the Injustice Society meetings they'll be all awkward toward each other. And poor Mallah will know something is wrong. But won't want to speak up since he's hiding that week he spent on Fire Island with Congorilla...

Meanwhile Queen Bee, obsessed with the people who defeated her, captures one Eel O'brian and drags him off to a pocket dimension. Moments later, but years there, he returns with Offspring's new little sister Aspis, already a teen-ager who takes up the mantle as the new Red Bee...

Meanwhile, over in Central City, the new Boomerang, still unsure about his personal identity begins brief, yet passionate affairs, with Piper, Magenta and Black Orchid...

Vic Stone (Cyborg) & Gar Logan (Beast Boy) from Titans. They already behave like an old married couple to each other, it's very cute.

I can see Zinda with Hal. The bar fights started by those two would be *legendary*.

I've always had a weird sort of love for Wonder Woman & Aquaman (bearded, hook-handed version). They got along so well in Morrison/Waid JLA

And a universe or two away in M-616 a certain purple masked Baron recruits several heroes (notably Ronin/Hawkeye and Squirrel Girl) and ex-villians to sucker punch the government controlled T-bolts. After the dust settles, Zemo has retaken his team. Though Clint and Songbird take a cruise to unwind. And Robbie gets the crazy cuddled out of him by his biggest fan...

Seeking to rebuild the once mighty Skrull empire, the Power Skrull travels to Earth (since thats where most of their potential heavy weights are anyways). He hooks up with Lyja Lazerfist (both politically and romantically) as the two end up recruiting both Hulkling and Xavin, as well both their teams...

Talisman and Brother Voodoo enter a brief, but torrid affair, after starting the Mystics Who Talk Shit to Tony Stark Club...

And in a surprising turn of events Dr. Victor Von Doom and Namor have a state marriage, uniting their two nations in opposition to Tony Stark and his rabid American Imperialism. Also Von Doom is quoted: Have you seen the man in a speedo? I just want to take a bite of that lucsious ass...

    Universe Crossover Situation:

Harley Quinn and Thanos. They both do messed up things because of love. It'd be nice for the two of them to have the chance to, y'know, take long walks on the beach sort of thing.

Plus, I always thought that Black Canary and Vril Dox could have a good long distance relationship.

Call me crazy, but Supergirl and Jimmy Olsen, assuming the versions thereof are of about the same age. It would have a neat symmetry with Lois and Clark.

I just remember this one panel by Ed McGuiness of Supergirl (the Linda Danvers one, IIRC) rescuing Jimmy from Bizarro, holding him in her arms and giving him a little peck on the cheek. It was so cute.

I've always liked the idea of Thanos meeting DC's Death...and Marvel Death getting jealous and going to Darkseid.

But I personally am fond of adult Raven/Orion. Evil fathers.
