Brain fried. Check back later.

I want a Big Barda comic. I don't care how. I just really like Big Barda. She kicks ass.

Also it would be cool if she had a kid. Because Barda and a kid would be cool. Scott can be there too. Or not. I just want Barda. Because Barda is neat. And I like her armor.

(Sorry if you were expecting an actual coherent post today. My brain is fried. Still Barda is cool. And should have a comic.)

'Course, the child of Scott and Barda would be the grandchild of Highfather and the product of the union of New Genesis and Apokolips, a being that would herald the end of the Fourth World and the beginning of the Fifth.

And Barda would be his Madonna.

Holy crap I'd buy every issue.

Hey, I recently found a copy of Mister Miracle #6 (1996) at my bookstore: Barda + Diana = sparring on Themiscira.

Yeah, I'd like to see Barda in a solo title, too.

Speaking of Barda's kid; isn't there suppoused to be a "Little Barda" among the missing year Titans?
And if so, will she look (or most likely be)like KC Avia?

I would LOVE to see a Big Barda solo series and I would love to see it written from a woman's perspective. I think Gail Simone would do a great job, but I'm hesitant to say that because I don't want to make her the woman writer at DC. I just love her work so much.

    steven: Yep!

melchior: Ooo, that's a fight I want to see.

    anon: Maybe!

loren: Simplest solution: More female writers! :-) Then Ms. Simone won't be the only awesome one!

anon: That...sounds like it could be wrong and hilarious.

Barda's kid should be a toddler, and they can wander around the DCU togetehr a la Lone Wolf & Cub.

I'd totally buy that every month!

(er, as long as it has a good writer and a good artist, that is...)

Did you read the late 80s DeMatties Mr. Miracle series, kal? Barda was written a bit high-maintenance-stereotypical-woman sometimes, but there's some funny moments with her trying to be a suburban housewife. But, yeah, Barda solo would be nice, did you have any storyline in mind or just her kicking ass and being the warrior is enough

Apparently Kirby agreed with you: just imagine how cool this could have been!

Ever read Another Nail, Alan Davis' absurdly off-the-rails sequel to The Nail? Barda with a Green Lantern ring.

A Green Lantern ring possessed by the spirit of Dead Mister Miracle.

No part of that isn't awesome.

Does Oberon count as a kid?

Have you read Mr. Chabon's ode to Barda? He has some very interesting things to say.
    Ciao,

Arg! The internet fails me tonight!
The beginning of my comment read, "Yes, yes, yes!" I completely agree with the idea of a Barda comic :)
Sorry for all of the mass confusion. Blame it on lack of caffeine :)

Barda's always been one of my favorites, too! I would love to see her as a series headliner. If only that Kirby proposal Rab linked to had come to fruition...

(PS. Along with Barda, I also demand more Mad Harriet!)

    dave: That'd be cool!

matt: I read a bit. It was funny. :-) And no story. Just ass-kicking. We need some more of that. :-)

    rab: Dude!

jon: The concept is enough to delight me for ages.

    zaratustra: Hmm. No.

    amy: Thanks for the link!

erich: That would be cool too! :-)
